Prime Time Wednesday


Give Prime Time Wednesdays a try!
Prime Time Wednesdays provides an opportunity for children and families to enjoy food, fellowship, and music
on Wednesday evenings. We believe children are a vital part of our church and that it is important to build a firm
foundation in Christ during the formative years. Food, fellowship, and music are a great way to build a strong
foundation within your church community!

Visitors
Visitors are welcome any time. We hope your child(ren) will have fun, meet new people, and most importantly,
enjoy learning about God's love for us. You are more than welcome to pick any Wednesday to visit. When you
arrive ask for the Director of Children's Ministry to assist you in finding the appropriate classroom for your child.

Dinner & Fellowship
Individuals and families are welcome to share dinner and fellowship from 5:30 - 6:00 PM. Dinner is typically pizza
and salad. Starting Ash Wednesday a Lenten series of Soup Suppers is featured for six weeks (until Easter). A
nominal donation of $3 per person or $10 per family is suggested.

Classes
We currently have two age groups for our Prime Time Wednesday activities:

  • Pre-Kindergarten through Second Grade
  • Third through Sixth Grade

    The number of chldren in each age group is assessed annually to determine if the classroom groupings should be
    reconfigured. There are times when there is a 'bubble' or large class size that would benefit from individual classes
    per grade level.

    Pre-Kindergarten - 2nd Grade Class
    6:00 PM    Meet in classroom - Explain Bible lesson &                 start activity
    6:10 PM    Puppet Show in Jungle Room - Performed by                 4th - 6th graders
    6:15 PM    Music in Jungle Room - Interactive music
    6:25 PM    Return to classroom for crafts, activities,                         large motor games
    7:00 PM    Snack in Social Hall
    7:10 PM    Return to classrooms to finish activities
    7:25 PM    Closing Prayers
    7:30 PM    Dismissal
     

    3rd - 6th Grade Class
    This class has a different schedule every other week

    Week A
    6:00 PM    Kindness Klub - Age appropriate service project work
    7:00 PM    Snack in Social Hall
    7:10 PM    Return to Kindness Klub room to finish service project work
    7:30 PM    Dismissal

    Week B
    6:00 PM    Meet in classroom for activities (perform puppet skit for younger group)
    6:45 PM    Bell Choir in Balcony
    7:30 PM    Dismissal

    Curriculum
    Prime Time Wednesday programming uses a variety of sources for its' Chrisitan-based curriculum to ensure lessons vary from the regular Sunday School curriculum and to provide a variety of fun games and activities.

    Kindness Klub
    Kindness Klub is a community service club created and led by Diane Gomez. Kindness Klub meets every other week during regular Prime Time Wednesday programming (6:00 PM - 7:30 PM) and is for 3rd through 6th graders.
    Bell Choir
    Bell Choir is offered and led by Jan Womack. Bell Choir meets every other week during regular Prime Time Wednesday programming from 6:45 PM - 7:30 PM and is for 3rd through 6th grade. Participants do need to know how to read music to participate.
